Quality Control Inspector
We are seeking a Quality Control Inspector to join our team! You will conduct tests to determine the quality of materials and finished products as well as identify areas of improvement to increase efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret materials, such as shop orders, inspection manuals, and blueprints, to determine inspection and test procedures
- Monitor or observe operations to ensure that they meet production standards
- Perform AS9102 First Article Inspections and complete all associated documentation
- Determine quality improvement parameters by identifying statistical methods
- Establish statistical confidence by identifying sample size and acceptable error; determining levels of confidence
- Develop sampling plans by applying attribute, variable, and sequential sampling methods
- Participate in Relentless Root Cause Analysis
- Approve in-process production by confirming specifications; conduct visual and measurement tests; communicate required adjustments to production supervisor.
- Document inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarize re-work and waste; input data into quality databases
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities
- Fulfill quality and organization mission by completing related results as needed
- Maintain the ability to work in a fast paced environment with tight deadlines
- Contribute to team effort by supporting other members with their work load
Qualifications:
- Previous work experience in quality control or other related fields
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Able to make independent decisions regarding product acceptability
- Able to work independently
- Must be able to read and interpret Blue Prints, and understand, interpret, and apply GD&T Methodology
- Must have familiarity utilizing tooling such as, Micrometers, Calipers, Indicators, Optical Comparators, specifically Keyence
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
- Geometry, General Math and problem solving skills a must
- Experience performing AS9102 First Article, In-Process, and Final Inspection of Aerospace products, as well as ability to interpret Military/Industrial/Federal Specifications a huge plus!
Compensation: $16 to $22 Hourly
