Quality Inspector - DQR

Responsibilities:

The DQR quality inspector conducts receiving, in-process and final product inspections, and documents results in various reports/logs in the quality system database. This key individual will inspect to ensure compliance to drawing, specifications, customer as well as QNP requirements. Aid in manufacturing to ensure quality product is being produced; Communicate and document findings of any non-conforming product. The DQR will also be responsible for creating and completing AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports. This position may also interface with Customers, Suppliers and /or Regulatory agencies as appropriate.

  1. Reads and interprets materials, such as shop orders, inspection manuals, and blueprints, to determine inspection and test procedures.
  2. Monitor or observe operations to ensure that they meet production standards
  3. Perform AS9102 First Article Inspections and completes all associated documentation
  4. Determines quality improvement parameters by identifying statistical methods
  5. Able to make independent decisions regarding product acceptability.
  6. Establishes statistical confidence by identifying sample size and acceptable error; determining levels of confidence.
  7. Develops sampling plans by applying attribute, variable, and sequential sampling methods.
  8. Participates in Relentless Root Cause Analysis
  9. Approves in-process production by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; communicating required adjustments to production supervisor.
  10. Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarizing re-work and waste; inputting data into quality database.
  11. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities;
  12. Accomplishes quality and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
  13. Able to work in a fast paced environment with tight deadlines.
  14. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  15. Performs source inspections as required by customers and completes all associated documentation

Requirements:

  1. AS13001 (Delegated Product Release Verification) certified highly preferred
  2. Experience with UTC requirements is preferred.
  3. Proficient in AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports (FAI) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) reports.
  4. 5+ years of Aerospace quality inspection while using a CMM or similar and performing plate inspections.
  5. Must be able to read and interpret Blue Prints
  6. Understand, interpret, and apply GD&T Methodology
  7. Have familiarity and utilize tooling such as, Micrometers, Calipers, Indicators, Optical Comparators, etc
  8. Understand and apply Gage R&R methodology
  9. Must be able to interpret Military/Industrial/Federal Specifications.
  10. Geometry, General Math and problem solving skills
  11. High School diploma or equivalent.
  12. Able to work independently
  13. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office

Compensation: $18 to $25 Hourly

Digital Print and Router Operator

Responsibilities:

A Digital print and router specialist has the necessary skills and experience to prepare artwork and print or route digital files on a variety of digital printing or machining equipment using a variety of different medias.

Main Tasks:

  1. Reviewing department job tickets, managing workflow to ensure all orders are completed on time, and consistently meeting customers’ expectations while maximizing machine efficiency.
  2. Operate and maintain Gerber Saber 408 Router. Knowledge of Gerber AutoCarve and Gerber Omega software a plus.
  3. Operate and maintain Mimaki JV3-160 printers
  4. Producing rigid and roll signs, labels and banners, custom finishing including lamination, mounting, and trimming.
  5. Properly using and maintaining all department tools and equipment, managing machine logs and coordinating maintenance and repair calls with vendors.
  6. Preparing large format signs, banners, and display graphics for shipping and delivery; creating custom packaging when necessary.
  7. Keeps track of materials and orders

Requirements:

  1. High School diploma or equivalent.
  2. Able to work independently
  3. Experience with large format imaging – roll and rigid printing and precision finishing.
  4. Experience with large format routing
  5. Experience printing on a large variety of substrates.
  6. Experience cutting on a large variety of substrates.
  7. Finisher, capable of laminating, mounting, and trimming to exact specifications.
  8. High level of experience with Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop. Must be able to effectively prepare and troubleshoot a variety of file formats and edit PDF documents.
  9. Understanding of RIP software and color management.
  10. Must be able to read and interpret Blue Prints
  11. Have familiarity and utilize tooling such as Micrometers, Calipers
  12. Geometry, general math and problem solving skills a must.

Compensation: $13 to $18 Hourly

Machine Operator

Responsibilities:

To operate machinery for functions such as rounding corners, punching holes, forming parts,  shearing flats,  Machinery that we use includes, but is not limited to: small CNC’s; kick presses; shears; drill presses; bending and rolling machines; various power presses from forming to steel ruling;  and serializing machines; to name a few.  Other machines within the department that may require operation are the Strippits, Spartanics,  and the drill presses for countersinking, counterboring, and tapping.

Main Tasks:

  •  Performing operation based on customer supplied blue prints, work instructions and supervisor direction
  •  Run jobs as necessary, keeping in mind safety, efficiency and accuracy
  • Work under the direction of the Manager, Supervisor or Leadperson

Requirements:

  • Must know basic math facts, geometry and algebra skills preferred.
  • Must be able to use a vernier, micrometer, and measuring scale.
  • Must be able to interpret blueprints, material specifications, and quality requirements.
  • Must be familiar with the characteristics and properties of the materials used by Quality Name Plate.
  • Must be able to maintain concentration in a distracting environment.
  • Must be able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
  • Must be able to focus on machinery problem solving issues.
  • Must be able to lift at least 30 pounds
  • Good general health
  • Periodic vision test may be required.
  • Good manual dexterity – must be able to run jobs efficiently with little wasted motion.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent preferred but not necessary.

Compensation: $13 to $18 Hourly
